Not sure if you want a safari lodge or a safari tour?
There are benefits to each option. A stay at a safari lodge is generally about 3 or 4 days, we recommend this duration as you will usually be covering the same areas each day, whereas on a safari tour you would be travelling and staying in different areas and different lodges. This has some great benefits as different areas have different game viewing options. Some types of Rhino can only be seen in the Lake Nakuru area, but this area has no lions…the best area for lions in Kenya is the Masai Mara, which is generally the final stop on a tour. Similar points can be made for Tanzania, South Africa and Botswana.
Beach Stay…Where should we go?
The answer to this question all depends on where you go for the safari and your budget. The two main areas for beach stays after a safari ( or before ) in Kenya or Tanzania would be Zanzibar or the Kenyan coastal resort of Mombasa. Both great beach destinations!
Safari in Botswana or South Africa and you will have the choice of beach stays in Mauritius or Port Elizabeth. The above are not set in stone but are the most economical options and will minimise your transfer times.
