The Governors Camp at Masai Mara stands on the banks of the Masai Mara Game Reserve, where millions of wildebeest pass from July to October across the Serengeti plains. With thirty-seven private tents set along the Mara river – each with its own private veranda — the Camp recreates the atmosphere of the authentic safari experience – with a touch of modern luxury (en-suite baths run hot and cold water and have flush toilets, for instance, while gas and paraffin lamps are the lighting sources of choice, and every night begins and ends around a communal campfire). The unfenced setting allows guests direct encounters with passing hippos, a remarkable and unique experience not soon to be forgotten. At the same time, the tents provide romantic and extremely comfortable lodging, suitable for any five-star hotel.
Special Offer: Save up to £375 on the Governors Camp when combined with a beach holiday in Zanzibar, Mauritius, Mombasa and the Seychelles.
