With several accommodation options, the Makanyane offers a main lodge overlooking a waterhole with swimming pool and nearby viewing deck, as well as glass-walled suites decorated with billowing cotton, with fireplaces for chilly evenings. Daily activities include guided safaris, sleep-outs, lectures by visiting experts, and more – or simply relax and be pampered in the Makanyane’s private spa, enjoying all the gifts that nature offers.
Rooms: Main lodge houses a maximum of 16 guests and offers stunning views of the Marico river. Suites with natural rock and glass walls feature private sundecks and fireplaces.
Restaurants: European and African-influenced cuisine using local produce is paired with wines from the resort’s expansive wine cellar. “Bush Barbecues” can be arranged.
