A complete sanctuary in a landscape of waterfalls, volcanoes, and forest, the extraordinary Gorilla Forest Camp offers guests a memorable, once-in-a-lifetime experience of living literally among the gorillas of Bwindi. Eight stunningly appointed tents, each with wooden decks, will lull you to sleep at night beneath the stars of this UNESCO World Heritage site, whilst by day, you can enjoy encounters with more than 350 species of birds’ 200 species of butterflies; and countless extraordinary animals — from forest elephants to black and white colobus, from antelope to rare, blue-tailed monkeys. The only camp located in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the Sanctuary offers the extraordinary opportunity to view gorillas in their own habitat. Special local tours bring you to the Bakiga and Batwa pygmy communities, with stops at a local banana beer brewery, tea farms, and medicine men. More than a holiday, a Gorilla Forest Camp Sanctuary Retreat stay will change the way you see the world.
