Known both for providing seasonal home to lions and wild dogs as well as to the graceful prey animals who live here year-round, the region offers perfect opportunities for safaris both on land and water. Game drives are operated twice a day in 4×4 vehicles, while excursions by Mokoro, or dugout canoes, bring guests closer to the bush and water animals – look out for crocodiles! Especially adventurous types may want to join in a helicopter flight over the delta; the doors of the helicopters can actually be removed (on request) to allow for the best possible sighting and photography experiences – and truly the thrill of a lifetime!
