Maldives annual weather – information, prices and travel advice from Little Luxury Islands.
Temperatures in the Maldives are pretty steady through the year, averaging from 28-32 degrees Celsius. A tropical climate dictates a higher rainfall than that of Europe, however rain showers are often quite heavy and over short periods of an hour or two, after which clear sunny skies generally emerge. These showers refresh the air and are more pleasant and refreshing than inconvenient.

Rainfall, unlike the steady temperatures of the Maldives, does differ by quite an amount from month to month. The lowest period of rainfall happens from December-April, this period averages fewer than 10cm of rain a month. Low rain, high temperatures and an excellent time to visit the islands. The months with higher rain fall are those between May and November, these are by no means bad months to visit the Maldives, as temperatures remain high.
